Kingtone

Here is some video evidence of one of the more insane parties I’ve been to in some time (this past Friday night at CELLSPACE in SF).

Basically, this was a fundraiser party and a really cool cardboard city that had been built in the adjoining room was to be torn down by King Kong as a climax. But the insane surf-metal music of my friend’s band Spaceblaster sort of upset the plan - in fact you can see King Kong wandering around taking revenge on those who stole his thunder…Okay, maybe the full moon had something to do with it, too.

Suddenly, there were couches on furniture dollies, loaded with people (myself included) playing smash up derby, toy horses flying thru the air, spirited dueling, tackling and, at peak mayhem, parts of said cardboard city and many of the elaborate costumes and props that had been constructed were being thrown everywhere. This went on for a solid 45-60 minutes. The party even longer. Good, clean fun.
