James Brown ‘The Godfather of Soul’ is being honored for his life work this week and will lie in state where he established his long careers - at the Apollo Theater in Harlem.

James Brown had incredible work ethic. Mr. Brown, ‘The hardest working man in showbusiness,’ often performed up to 51 weeks a year and back in the Apollo days played six sold out shows a day for weeks on end. The man never had a #1 pop chart hit, yet he influenced everything.
